Transco Pipeline Information
On January 29, 2026, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) issued an order approving the Southeast Supply Enhancement Project. The purpose of the project is to supply more natural gas to North Carolina and several other southeastern states.
The Williams Company owns and operates the Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Company (Transco). Transco anticipates work to begin in Oak Ridge in March 2026. The work involves installing an underground pipeline that will cross a floodplain.
