Two Oak Ridge Parks Water Fountains Turned Off

Oak Ridge Parks Water Fountains

Out of an abundance of caution, the water fountains at Oak Ridge Town Park’s Shelter #2 (near the pond) and Heritage Farm Park are temporarily shut off due to elevated PFAS results found in recent water testing. This recommendation was made to the Town by the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality.

We understand this may be an inconvenience to park visitors. Please bring bottled water or a refillable water bottle when visiting the park until further notice. The water fountains at Oak Ridge Town Park near the concession stand, Shelter #1 (near large playground), bathroom building near the amphitheater, and at the dog park remain open and are safe to use.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to protect the health and safety of our park visitors.
