Oak Ridge Councilwoman Ann Schneider Elected to NC League of Municipalities' Board of Directors

Oak Ridge Town Councilwoman Ann Schneider has been elected to serve a two-year term as the Director at-Large member of the Board of Directors for the North Carolina League of Municipalities. Her appointment was announced at the League’s annual conference, CityVision, held in Greenville in early May. Previously, Schneider held a Presidential Appointment to the League’s Board, following two years of service on the board of the Mayors Association, an affiliate group of the League. In Oak Ridge, Schneider has served on the Oak Ridge Town Council since 2017, including four years as mayor (2019-2023). Prior to her election to Town Council, she chaired the Oak Ridge Historic Preservation Commission and the Future Land Use Plan Committee.
