Piedmont Land Conservancy Acquires 115-acre Bandera Farms Property

The Town of Oak Ridge is proud to have collaborated with two municipalities (Town of Summerfield and City of Greensboro) and Guilford County to acquire 115 acres on Bunch Road along Reedy Fork Creek in Summerfield on December 15, 2020 in a landmark multi-jurisdictional conservation effort. The property, called Bandera Farms, protects a critical link in the Piedmont Greenway, a planned 19-mile greenway that will connect Greensboro to Winston-Salem through Triad Park and Kernersville. In addition to supporting a mile of the Piedmont Greenway, the property will be developed as a trails preserve, with a focus on equestrian trails.
