Veterans Honor Green

The Veterans Honor Green honors all veterans who have served in our military. A Walk of Honor leads to five monuments representing each branch of the military. Paver bricks line the walk with engraved personal memories and sentiments which pay tribute to our servicemen and women. The $255,000 price tag of the memorial site was funded by a $50,000 state grant and generous personal donations which were matched by a Leadership Donation from the Town, doubling every personal dollar donated. 

The Veterans Honor Green stands proudly today amidst the bucolic vistas of Heritage Farm Park. It offers visitors an opportunity to pause in respectful reflection on the profound patriotism and sacrifice honored by the monuments and the pavers that lead to them. The boardwalk nestled beneath the towering pines beyond the monument provides a place for quiet reflection.

If you are interested in memorializing a loved one with an engraved brick paver for the Walk of Honor, please download the Paver Order Form and drop it off at Town Hall or mail it to Town of Oak Ridge, P.O. Box 374, Oak Ridge, NC 27310. Payment will be accepted in cash, check or credit card. If writing a check, please make it payable to Town of Oak Ridge (dishonored or returned checks will be charged a processing fee of $35.) Questions? Call 336.644.7009.
