Farmhouse Community Center

Welcome to the Farmhouse Community Center, formerly known as the Stafford-Linville Tenant House built in 1931. Originally a home to tenant farmers during Oak Ridge's agrarian period, this home has been lovingly restored to serve as a warm welcome to the Town's 80-acre park and as a center for the community to gather for meetings or events from baby showers to holiday parties. The American flag proudly hanging off the front porch was donated to the Farmhouse by the Guilford Battle Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Walk through the front door into the Receiving Area and be greeted by a pair of restored brick fireplaces and a beautiful antique buffet crowned by original sketches of the community by local artist Patsy Faires.

The banquet area is well suited to host small to medium sized events with a maximum capacity of 50 people. Six 5-foot diameter round tables and five 6-foot long rectangle tables, each providing seating for 6-8 people, and folding chairs are available for use at your event. Additional tables or seating can be rented from Town Hall. A 65-inch tv monitor is available for use in presentations. Renters are responsible for coordinating outside vendors for food, entertainment and / or alcohol. An ABC permit must be obtained and liability insurance coverage must be confirmed if serving alcohol.

A convenient prep area sits behind the banquet area with ample counter space, a refrigerator, an ice maker, and a warming oven. Restroom facilities are also located behind the banquet area. On your way to the kitchen, take notice of the coat rack which is a remnant beam from the original structure repurposed for a new use at the Farmhouse.

Enjoy the view of the park from the back deck of the Farmhouse. Music on the Lawn, a Sunday afternoon musical series featuring local talent, will be launched from this back deck in spring 2026. We hope to see you there!
