Cascades Preserve

The Cascades Preserve is a joint venture between Guilford County and the Town of Oak Ridge. The roughly 130-acre tract was purchased as open space, meaning it will never be developed. 

Cascades Preserve features a trail that winds nearly two miles through the wooded property with views of the creek, which cascades down falls of rock. It was designed so that it incorporates some challenging transitional hiking with the natural surroundings and scenic vistas along the way. It features a small parking lot and picnic area.
